Sebeshi Zacharia Mojela (28) was sentenced to an effective 20 years’ imprisonment in the Johannesburg South High Court on Wednesday last week after brutally killing his wife, Kempton Express reports.
Mojela stabbed Priska Schalk (29) several times in the upper body after an argument, said Captain Jethro Mtshali, spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS.

Mtshali said the murder occurred on February 27 last year just after 10pm.
Mojela, who was a security officer at a local school, had an argument with his wife at 60 Commissioner Street. He then left for work as he was working night duty.
“He returned home, absconding his post, finding his wife asleep. He stabbed her several times in a brutal manner before he fled to Limpopo.
“He was later traced with the assistance of the security company he was employed with to a shopping complex in Limpopo where he was arrested for murder,” Mtshali said.
Mojela appeared in the Kempton Park Magistrates’ Court several times before the matter was transferred to the high court, where he pleaded guilty during a plea bargain trial.
Station commander of Kempton Park SAPS Brig Samuel Maredi commended the investigating officer, Detective-Sergeant Jason Bramdaw and the team of detectives who assisted in the arrest and securing the verdict.
