Four alleged housebreakers were arrested in Randpark Ridge by local security, and a vehicle and stolen property were recovered, Roodepoort Northsider reports.
The arrest, which happened on Thursday, 30 November, was executed by Community Support Services (CCS), assisted by BCI Security.
It was reported that the suspects threw their firearms out of their getaway vehicle as they were being pursued.

According to BCI, they received a call from their industry colleagues asking for assistance from their K-9 unit to search for the weapons discarded by the armed robbery suspects that CSS had caught in Randpark Ridge.
“When we arrived, the scene had already been contained and the suspects arrested by the Police. K-9 officers from BCI and the Police started searching the properties and verges with their dogs for the weapons that the suspects allegedly threw into the bushes,” said Gary Jordaan, spokesperson for BCI.
Unfortunately, according to Gary, no weapons were found. “It is possible that these suspects are also linked to an armed robbery at a property in Constantia Kloof,” he speculated.
The suspects were taken to a local police station for investigations to continue.
