The staff at Wizards Hair Studio in East Point Shopping Centre, Boksbug have been supporting the Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa) Shavathon for the past four years.
They will again be making a generous donation of ponytails at the centre’s Shavathon event on February 24, Boksburg Advertiser reports.

Nina Morgenrood, a senior stylist, said they have been collecting clients’ ponytails for the past year and are excited to make the donation.
“This hair would have just gone to waste. At least it will be going towards a good cause now,” she said.
“We encourage clients to donate hair. Some bring their hair to the salon and I even had a whole bush of long hair donated by a four-year-old boy.”
Morgenrood and the staff of Wizards collect at least two ponytails a week which are more than 20 centimetres long.
This local business is definitely doing their part in involving their clients and the community to help Cansa, and is looking forward to seeing residents at the Shavathon on the weekend.
