The security guard accused of killing his girlfriend made his second court appearance in Kempton Park Magistrates’ Court.
The accused was meant to apply for bail on Tuesday, which he did not.
According to Kempton Park police spokesperson Captain Jethro Mtshali, the suspect chose to abandon his bail application, Kempton Express reported.
“He will remain in custody, and the case was postponed to May 4,” Mtshali said.
He is being represented by a state lawyer.
The suspect is facing murder charges for allegedly stabbing to death his 29-year-old girlfriend in their home.
According to a family friend, the couple’s five-year-old daughter witnessed the gruesome murder.
The family lived together in a Commissioner Street home, which they were renting.
