Five alleged robbers killed in Pinetown shoot-out
The shoot-out ensued after the getaway vehicle was spotted on the M13.

Five suspects were killed and one injured during a shoot-out with police earlier today, after they allegedly robbed a house in Kloof, KwaZulu-Natal, Highway Mail reports.
Pinetown Cluster communications officer, Capt Mazwi Mbatha, said the SAPS K9 Unit spotted the getaway car, a white Mercedes Benz, on the M13 and gave chase.

“When the suspects saw the police, they shot at them and the police retaliated, five of them were shot and killed and one was injured in the back,” said Mbatha.
The stolen items, including TVs, camera and other house items were found in the getaway vehicle.
