One of the Rademeyer family members killed in KZN shortly after Christmas, will be buried along with her husband in Bethlehem today (Thursday), Kempton Express reports.
Orpa (27) and Henk Barnard (31) were among the six victims killed in the accident in Palm Beach on December 29.
Orpa’s sister, Elsi Rademeyer (24), their mother Elaine (62) and father Coert (66), all from Alberton, were also killed.

Elsi, Coert and Elaine’s funeral will take place on Thursday, January 18 at 11am from the Reformed Church (Hervormde Kerk), Alberton West on Camborne Road.
The family members all died at the scene together with South Coast traffic officer, Ashuk Sanjay Ramauthar (46) who was on duty at a vehicle stop and search checkpoint on the R61 when the accident occurred.
Coert Rademeyer, the only surviving member of the Rademeyer family, and Elsi’s longtime boyfriend, Jaco Lottering, were both in Alberton at the time of the accident.
On January 3, Coert told the South Coast Herald he would miss his family dearly, describing them as a happy, colourful and loving family.
It is understood that a heavy goods truck was travelling from Port Edward towards Port Shepstone when it careered into one of the cars in the northbound lane (pulled over by another traffic officer) before striking officer Ramauthar and the Alberton and Bethlehem family’s stationary vehicle in the southbound lane.
KZN EMS spokesman Rob Mckenzie said several injured motorists were treated and stabilised before being taken to hospital by ambulance.
Officer Ramauthar’s funeral was held at the Margate Town Hall on December 31. He leaves his wife, Pansy, and daughters Akashnee (19) and Ashika (13).
Coert expressed his thanks to everybody for their assistance and kindness shown, in particular Rob van der Merwe.
