The man, who wished to remain anonymous, was on his way to Bronkhorstspruit from Middelburg when he was involved in an accident suspected to have been caused by wet road conditions, Middelburg Observer reports.
“Cars were being flung from the one lane to the other when they reached a certain point,” the man said.

At least 10 cars were involved in the accident.
The witness said he and another car came to a standstill. The driver of the other car got out, while the witness remained seated in his car. A dark sedan crashed in to the car in front of him before crashing into his vehicle.
The man standing next to the car was hit and cut in half in the process.
“There was blood all over my bonnet. It was a horrific thing to witness: the man standing there, and all of a sudden, he is gone.”
The identity of the man killed is not known.
