A military helicopter made an emergency landing near the Margate whale deck earlier today, South Coast Herald reports.

This is according to a source who told the South Coast Herald that the chopper was en route to Port St Johns when it was forced to land due to a mechanical failure. It is believed the engine may have over-heated.
