Emergency landing for military helicopter in Margate, KZN
The pilot has been praised by the community for landing the chopper safely.

A military helicopter made an emergency landing near the Margate whale deck earlier today, South Coast Herald reports.
This is according to a source who told the South Coast Herald that the chopper was en route to Port St Johns when it was forced to land due to a mechanical failure. It is believed the engine may have over-heated.

Gerrit Hendrik Jooste Potgieter wrote on Facebook:
“I wondered why he came over my house very low in Uvongo and made a u-turn back in the direction of Margate.”
