Drug dealer keeps his dagga ‘cool’

Kempton Park police’s crime prevention unit recently arrested a 42-year-old man who was found with dagga he had hidden inside a cooler box, Kempton Express reports.

“Crime prevention unit members were conducting patrols at the Kempton taxi rank at about 8.20pm and noticed a suspicious person walking around with a cooler box.”

The officers stopped the suspected and requested to search the cooler box. Inside, they found about 25 matchboxes containing dagga.

He was arrested for drug dealing.

Another suspect was arrested for being in possession of crystal meth.

According to police spokesperson Captain Jethro Mtshali, the arrest was made while members of the unit were conducting patrols on January 8.

“The suspect was arrested on the corner of Long Street and Pretoria Road for being in possession of three plastic bags containing crystal meth. The drugs were found in his pocket when he was searched by the officers,” Mtshali confirmed.

In another unrelated incident, two suspects were found in possession of a stolen TLB forklift at the corner of the R25 and Pretoria Road on January 8.

The two were stopped by police officers who, when they checked up on the forklift, discovered that it was reported stolen during a business robbery in Springs earlier this month.
