Centurion actor to be laid to rest in Eastern Cape

Odwa Shweni will be laid to rest in his hometown in Queenstown, Eastern Cape on Sunday, 22 April, Centurion Rekord reports.

Shweni (39), who died last Thursday during a film rehearsal at the Drakensberg in KwaZulu-Natal when he fell off a cliff into a river, was an IT specialist and pursued acting as a hobby.

Police and rescue workers discovered his body in a river pool below the cliff the day after he fell.

Shweni leaves behind his wife Tebogo and their two children.
