About 84mm of rain has been received in Pretoria in the past 24 hours, the SA weather service has said.
Heavy rain poured throughout Wednesday evening, Pretoria East Rekord reports.

“Most of the rain was recorded from the eastern part of Pretoria,” said forecaster Kumsa Masizana.
A video recorded at Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool shows the damage caused by the rain.
Spokesperson for the school, Dirk Taljard, said the school’s cafeteria and an office adjacent to it were flooded.
The roof of Menlyn Mall was also reported to have sprung leaks.
