Ekurhuleni Metro CFO resigns
Gugu Malaza was suspended last year, after financial irregularities were revealed after she was dismissed from the SABC.

Ekurhuleni’s chief financial officer, Gugu Malaza, and the city of Ekurhuleni have reached an amicable decision to part ways, reports Germiston City News.
The resignation was adopted by council at its recent ordinary council sitting.
Malaza’s resignation brings to an end a disciplinary process.

Malaza (formerly Duda) was suspended last year, following a pending investigation after she was dismissed from the SABC, citing financial and procurement irregularities.
Former public protector Thuli Madonsela in 2014 found former communications minister Dina Pule had interfered unduly in the affairs of the SABC during her tumultuous tenure.
Since her dismissal from the public broadcaster in 2014, she nabbed a job as the CFO of the city of Ekurhuleni, Gauteng’s only ANC-run metro.
