KZN driver rescued after crashing into lagoon

The scene of the crash was closed to traffic, as emergency services removed the vehicle out the water. 


Paramedics were called onto the scene to attend to a car crash on the M4 near Tongaat River, north of Durban on Friday morning.

Jacaranda FM reported the driver lost control of the vehicle and Netcare 911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst said: “Resulting in the vehicle leaving the road, crashing through the safety barrier, coming to rest upside down in the lagoon.

“The patient, an adult female, had sustained moderate injuries and was treated on the scene.”

The scene of the crash was closed to traffic as emergency services removed the vehicle out the water.
