ANC MP Makhosi Khoza said she is “disturbed” by her party’s conduct regarding death threats against her.
Huffington Post reports that Khoza said she was “doing okay” and would meet with her lawyers tomorrow to assess the situation.
“I am okay but I am also very disturbed by the ANC disputing these facts (of her death threats)…I don’t know why the ANC is disputing these things,” she said.
Khoza shared a video which showed ANC bodyguards with firearms and threatening to murder someone.
“How on planet earth does the ANC dispute my death threats? Does it make sense. I’m advised my own ANC branch chairperson is out on bail. He was caught with the arms cache. I want to subject myself to the disciplinary process of the ANC. How do I go to KwaZulu-Natal? Honestly!” she said in the post.
She told the Huffington Post that the gun-toting men were bodyguards of “certain cadres” who were also in disciplinary hearings.
Khoza was charged for ill-discipline and for bringing the party into disrepute after calling for president Jacob Zuma to step down.
Her hearing was expected to commence on Sunday but was postponed as Khoza didn’t pitch claiming to have received new death threats.
