Karabo Mokoena will be buried on Friday, May 19, at 8am.
The funeral service will start at the Diepkloof hall. Mokoena was from Soweto and was found burnt beyond recognition in Lyndhurst at a rubbish dump.
DNA evidence has confirmed the remains belonged to Mokoena, who it is alleged was attacked and murdered by a boyfriend she had been dating for seven months, Sandile Mantsoe.
Mantsoe was arrested last week Thursday and will appear in court on May 24. It is understood the couple had a fight at a Sandton nightclub and returned to Mantsoe’s home at 1am on April 28. The next day Mokoena was reported missing.
Mantsoe pointed out her remains to police almost two weeks later.

Social development MEC Nandi Mayathula-Khoza, who visited the family yesterday, said, according to a family spokesperson, Karabo had been killed by her boyfriend “because she said no”.
“We are informed by the family that she had said no to the boy, whatever the discussion, whatever the argument was. But she had said no to this young man, and this young man could not take it, and decided to be a coward and to kill a young soul,” Mayathula-Khoza alleged.
