In memes: Ska bafa chance! Twitter reacts to Mugabe’s shock non-resignation

Despite reports that Mugabe would resign during his TV address to Zimbabweans, it appears the 93-year-old president's political career has survived another day.


Twitter users on Sunday night found themselves confused and searching for answers after Zimbabwe’s longtime leader, President Robert Mugabe, announced he would preside over the governing Zanu-PF’s special congress in December ahead of elections in 2018.

This after an extraordinary session of the party’s central committee resolved to sack Mugabe as its leader and reinstated Emmerson Mnangagwa as party vice-president, who was expelled from Zanu-PF this month.
