His car was recovered on the day of the hijacking.
An Audi A4 was found in Soshanguve with the owner locked in the boot.
Police have found a man in the boot of his car after he was hijacked on Sunday, Pretoria Rekord North reports.
Police spokesperson Constable Godfrey Mabusela said the man was hijacked in Orchards, north of Tshwane, and his car was recovered later the same day at Block VV in Soshanguve.
“Police and the tracking company traced the car to Block VV, where it was found abandoned on the side of the road,” said Mabusela.
When officers investigated the scene, they heard screams coming from inside the boot, he said.

“Police called for assistance and, when the car was opened, they were shocked to find a man locked in the boot. It was then discovered that the man was the owner of the car and a victim of a hijacking incident.”
Mabusela said the man was rushed to hospital for medical treatment, but he has since been released.
The victim, who asked to remain anonymous, said he was hijacked by three armed men and then shoved into the boot of his car.
Police have since launched a search for the hijackers.
