Exercising in the early morning can be a fabulous way to not only get the calories burning, but it can also help you have a good start to the day!
Studies have shown that most people who exercise in the mornings tend to stick to their workout schedule as compared to those who choose to exercise later during the day.
According to Fitness Magazine, “a study of 500 people at the Mollen Clinic, a preventive medicine and wellness center in Scottsdale, Arizona, found that 75 percent of those who worked out in the morning did so regularly, compared with just half the afternoon exercisers and a quarter of the post-work crowd.”
Clinic founder Dr. Arthur Mollen says that people tend to have less excuses for not exercising in the mornings. So, if you find that you are not able to find the time or motivation to get in a work out during the afternoon or evening, perhaps try getting in a morning session.
An early morning work out will not only leave you feeling energized and refreshed, but it can also affect your mental capabilities.
According to Fitness Magazine, “a recent study at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign found that 20 minutes of moderate aerobic exercise improved concentration, reading comprehension, and cognitive function.” This can be a great advantage, especially if you have to go to work afterwards.
Get a physical trainer
If you do not know where to start or how to put a suitable workout routine together for yourself, seek the assistance of a physical trainer. There may be many available at your local gym.
