Black First Land First (BLF) has launched a scattering attack on ANC MP and former Ekurhuleni mayor Mondli Gungubele after he declared that he would not vote for Zuma in the upcoming motion of no confidence against the president.
On Monday, Gungubele listed some of the reasons behind his decision on eNCA.
He said among those reasons is the president’s questionable relationship with Andile Mngxitama’s BLF movement, which Gungubele described as a “vigilante group”.
This irked BLF and the movement released a statement on Tuesday telling Gungubele to “shut up'”.
“Black First Land First (BLF) does not recognise the minor African National Congress (ANC) politician, Mondli Gungubele. This person is a failed mayor of Ekurhuleni. He is now making noise so as to seek recognition as one of the lead agents of white monopoly capital.
“We know that he is being paid to test the possibility of removing President Zuma; and to stand against Radical Economic Transformation in order to maintain and perpetuate the current status quo where whites own everything.”
The movement described Gungubele as a ‘noisy, ineffective, irrelevant agent of white monopoly capital.’
“BLF will not dignify his comments which are completely out of line and calculated to denigrate the President of the country. Gungubele is a cheap liar. He must shut up!
“We have serious matters to deal with so as to transform the country. The return the stolen land, mineral rights and dignity of our people are of paramount importance.”
