Gigaba slammed for attending Kathrada funeral, reminded of insults at stalwarts
There is video evidence of Gigaba ranting against ANC stalwarts last year.

Author Palesa Morudu took to Twitter to remind Minister of Home Affairs Malusi Gigaba of how he had excoriated late ANC stalwarts, including Ahmed Kathrada, for being “ill-disciplined stalwarts”.
This happened after the ruling party’s veterans called for President Jacob Zuma to step down following the Nkandla saga. He was speaking at an ANC Heroes lecture in Gugulethu, Cape Town.
Gigaba responded, saying it was not the time to bring this up and denied ever saying anything disrespectful.
1) I have never referred to Uncle Kathy in that manner as you insinuate.
2) for you to use this during this time, it’s too low. https://t.co/eeiOlk9UFD— Malusi Gigaba (@mgigaba) March 29, 2017
Morudu tweeted: “Malusi Gigaba actually called #UncleKathy an ‘illdisciplined so-called stalwart’. Things cadres say in the service of the Zupta project.”

Interestingly, there is evidence of Gigaba’s rant against struggle veterans.

Other Twitter users also joined in, saying it was ironic Gigaba was now attending the funeral of Kathrada. Gauteng Premier David Makhura indirectly addressed this, urging attendees at the funeral to respect ANC stalwarts.
Malusi Gigaba insulted #AhmedKathrada when the latter called for Zuma to respect the will of the people and resign. Well, well, well…

Uhm, David Makhura decided to indirectly do a Sipho Pityana and tells Malusi Gigaba to have manners and respect stalwarts. #KathradaFuneral
