Ramaphosa must reinstate Brian Molefe to end load shedding – BLF
The party says the former CEO has proven his ability to end this 'organised crisis'.

Black First Land First has called for President Cyril Ramaphosa to reinstate former Eskom CEO Brian Molefe to end load shedding. It alleged that load shedding was an “organised crisis” meant to legitimise the unbundling of Eskom and privatise it for the benefit of “white monopoly capital”.
“It is clear that the country has returned to an energy crisis that comrade Molefe had solved while serving the nation as CEO at Eskom. Under his watch, load shedding ended, surplus was reported and the state-owned enterprise enjoyed good morale and ran at optimum,” said the party in a statement.
The party further alleged that Molefe, former acting CEO Matshela Koko, and former chairperson Ben Ngubane were removed from the parastatal for “political expediency”.
“White monopoly capital was not happy that they exposed Evergreen contracts, had stopped paying exorbitant prices for coal procurement, and refused to institute costly IPPs. The result of their removal has left ordinary South Africans, including black emerging businesses, unable to operate due to load shedding.”
This will help in industrialising the country which has a job crisis that has seen at least 9 million without meaningful work, added the party.
“BLF calls on Ramaphosa to stop playing with the livelihoods of our people and to reinstate Brian Molefe and all those who have the proven ability to end load shedding and restore Eskom!”
