Yesterday, on Tuesday morning, two men allegedly robbed a man next to Absa on Thabo Mbeki Drive in Mokopane, Review Online reports.

According to a statement issued by Sergeant Mmadikgale Masingi, an armed robbery took place in which two men stole R40 000.
It is alleged that a 41-year-old Pakistan national went to Absa to deposit R40 000 into in his account. He was then stopped by two unknown African males, both armed with pistols, who pointed their firearms at him while emptying his pockets.
According to Masingi, the suspects drove away in a white BMW with the police in pursuit.

“The robbers abandoned their vehicle between Mahwelereng and Madiba village area where the Mokopane police managed to apprehend them.”
In an update, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo stated that during the arrest, two 9mm pistols with nine rounds of live ammunition and a 9mm Norinco pistol with eight rounds of live ammunition that was found inside the abandoned vehicle were also confiscated.
Mojapelo said the abandoned white BMW with registration CT 28 WL GP was reported stolen at Mmakau.
“The suspects aged 30- and 35-years-old will appear soon on the charges of armed robbery, possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition and stolen vehicle. The court in which the accused are set to appear had not been disclosed as yet.”
