Energy minister sends condolences to families of late PetroSA employees
As far as could be ascertained, the two men were overcome by toxic gases when working on a vessel at the Mossel Bay plant.

Following the fatal incident that claimed the lives of two PetroSA employees at the Gas to Liquid Refinery in Mossel Bay on Tuesday, Energy Minister Tina Joemat-Pettersson extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the late workers.
SAnews.gov.za quoted Joemat-Pettersson as saying: “Their passing is tragic and shocking. On behalf of the department of energy, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones in this manner.”
It was further reported that the ministry commended the actions of PetroSA’s in supporting the grieving families and their colleagues.
On Wednesday, the Mossel Bay Advertiser had reported that PetroSA group communications manager Thabo Mabaso said the victims’ next-of-kin had been informed, and that the company was providing support and counselling services.
