With the results from 17,286 of the 22,925 voting districts captured so far, the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) has passed the halfway point in the tallying process, reports Northglen News.
Of the 12,124,122 votes cast in the 2019 election, a total of 167,714 spoilt votes have been confirmed, which comes to 1.4%.

The ANC is currently leading with 6,843,826 votes (57.19%) on Friday morning, the DA follows with 2,611,628 votes (21.83%), the EFF with 1,206, 588 (10.8%) and the IFP with 349,805 votes (2.92%).
