All eyes are currently on the IEC Results Operations Centre in Pretoria, where vote counting has been ongoing since the close of polls.

At least 40% of the Local Government Elections votes had been counted by Tuesday afternoon, with the Electoral Commission of South Africa confident that this number would reach 90% by the end of the evening.
While the votes were getting counted, party agents and others were on hand to make everything goes according to the rules, and engage with the media.
