The internet has been divided down the middle yet again with an audio clip that some people say says “Laurel”, while others hear “Yanny”.
It’s a clever computer-generated word that actually contains both words at different frequencies, and each person’s brain apparently randomly decides which version it prefers.
Apparently being a “Laurel” or “Yanny” person can tell people quite a bit about you (or just your headphones or computer speakers). Speakers with more bass tend to sound like Laurel, while younger people are inclined to hear Yanny.
