Three bodyguards working for Dlamini-Zuma said she has yet to receive an official parking spot in parliament’s basement.
Consequently Dlamini-Zuma’s white BMW was clamped after parking near the entrance of Poorthuis entrance on Wednesday, reports Sunday Times.
Parliamentary security officers said they clamped the car as it was illegally parked in a busy spot.
“I just saw the car and clamped it. It was a white BMW, I can’t even remember the model. They had closed off the area of Poorthuis. Her three bodyguards claimed she had not been allocated parking,” an officer said.
Another source said the officers clamped Dlamini-Zuma’s car not knowing it belonged to her. Meanwhile her spokesmen have denied the incident, saying it did not take place and no fee was paid to have it released.
