DA and EFF can intervene in Molefe’s unfair dismissal case

The Eskom ex-boss resigned from his job in November last year after being implicated in the public protector’s State of Capture report.

The DA and EFF can intervene in former Eskom CEO Brian Molefe’s Labour Court application on Tuesday.

According to the report, Judge Connie Prinsloo granted the opposition parties the right to intervene ahead of this Thursday, when Molefe’s application will be heard, Fin24 reported.

Molefe approached the Labour Court in Johannesburg last month on an urgent basis after the Eskom board rescinded his controversial reappointment as group chief executive, as directed by Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown.

He resigned from his job in November last year after being implicated in the public protector’s State of Capture report and was shortly deployed to parliament by the ANC.
