Two men were shot dead and another seriously wounded on a farm in Glenharvie, Westonaria, on Tuesday morning, reports Randfontein Herald.
Sergeant Audrey Sefara, the Westonaria Police spokesperson, confirmed that they were investigating two cases of murder as well as one of attempted murder after an argument in Bekkersdal during the weekend led to a mass shooting and stabbing on the farm two days later.

She explained that police were called to the scene on a farm in Glenharvie on Tuesday.
“On our arrival, officers found two deceased men, plus another man with stab and gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital in a critical condition. According to information from the scene, police officers were informed that there had been an argument between two men over the weekend in Bekkersdal.
“On Tuesday morning, one of the men involved in the argument went to the farm with a group of other men. The second man involved in the argument was already on the farm in Glenharvie, Westonaria. A further argument ensued and the man living on the farm was stabbed. Another group of men then came to assist the stabbed man, and a huge fight broke out between the two groups. Firearms were produced and both groups started shooting at each other. In the process, members of both groups were beaten with hammers and hacked with pangas.
“After the ordeal, the groups ran away, leaving two people dead and one stabbed and shot and in a critical condition.”
Westonaria Police detectives are now urging the public to come forward with any information that could lead to the arrests of those involved. They can be contacted on 011 278 5300.
