A Dorandia mother was handed more than four life sentences by the Pretoria North Magistrate Court on Thursday on multiple sexual assault charges.
The 39-year-old woman was convicted on the following charges:
All these acts were perpetuated on her five-year-old daughter. She committed these despicable acts with her boyfriend for their twisted pleasure.
She was also ordered to be registered on the National Register of Sexual Offenders and to be declared unfit to work with children.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), the woman started sexually assaulting her daughter after she began a relationship with a man.

The relationship soon proved to be twisted as for a period of four months, the little girl would endure horrific sexual assaults.
From December 2021 to March 2022, the couple would repeatedly rape the child with objects, sexually assaulted her, and force her to perform sexual acts on them.
“When the boyfriend was at his own place, the mother would take pictures of the child’s private parts and videos of her performing sexual acts on the child and send it to her boyfriend for his pleasure,” said NPA spokesperson Lumka Mahanjana.
The couple’s unspeakable acts would come to an end after the woman sent a disturbing video of the child to a friend on WhatsApp, who in turn reported the matter to the police.
“She told the court she committed all those offences because she craved the attention of her boyfriend and wanted his approval since she was taking care of her 15-year-old child living with disability,” added Mahanjana.
She pleaded guilty to all 10 charges and pleaded with court to give her at least 20 years.
The State prosecutor asked for life imprisonment as she failed to protect her child but took advantage and sacrificed her for a relationship.
The case against her boyfriend will be back on the dock on 2 February 2023 for a possible plea.
