Police arrest suspect in connection with Limpopo farm activist’s murder
Police in Makhado arrested a 40-year-old man involved in the murder of 51-year-old Annette Kennealy on Tuesday night.

A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of local farmer, 51-year-old Annette Kennealy, reports Polokwane Review.
The body of Kennealy was found lying in a pool of blood inside the house on Welgevonden farm, on Tuesday morning. It is suspected she was murdered during the night between May 20 and 21.
Police spokesperson Col Moatshe confirmed in a statement that the police in Makhado (Louis Trichardt) arrested a 40-year-old man involved in the murder of Kennealy on Tuesday night.

“The suspect will appear before the Louis Trichardt Magistrate Court soon,” he concluded.
“It is alleged that the deceased was together with her employee on the said farm, when she was attacked by unknown suspect(s). After family members tried to call her without success, one member went to investigate and upon arrival found the deceased inside the house lying in a pool of blood. Her body had multiple stab wounds,” he explained.
Maroela Media reports that Kennealy’s body was found with several wounds to her head. A hammer and iron pipe were reportedly found beside her body.
Kennealy was known as an activist against farm murders. Her last Facebook post served to highlight what was described as a “sudden spike” in farm attacks in the past week.
