One person has died and two others were injured following a shooting on Arbee Drive in Tongaat, north of Durban on Sunday.
According to Netcare 911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst, paramedics were called to the scene at around 4.55pm.
“Reports from the scene indicate that three people had sustained gunshot wounds,” Herbst said.
“Medics assessed the first patient who had been shot multiple times; the man had [shown] no signs of life and was declared deceased on the scene.”
Two other patients had sustained minor to moderate injuries in the crossfire, Herbst said.
“The two patients were treated on scene and once stabilised were transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.”
