A 44-year-old mother from Croftdene, KwaZulu-Natal, is still reeling from shock after she was allegedly abducted from her home and brutally assaulted by a man who is known to her family, on Sunday, reports Rising Sun Chatsworth.
The woman, who did not want to be named for fear of repercussions, claimed that the horrific ordeal occurred when she was walking home from a tuckshop near her house.

“As soon as I reached my house, the four men started grabbing and assaulting me before pushing me towards the van. I was then forcefully carried and thrown into the van and taken to the man’s house, which is on the next road,” the distraught mother explained.
The woman claimed that the man continued to assault her while using derogatory words.
“When we reached his house, he continued to push me around and began slapping me, while forcing me to get out of the van. Thankfully, there were people who intervened and tried to stop him. The residents helped me to escape. I am still fearful for my life. One of the men threatened to burn me in my home.
“Men who violate the rights of women like this should be taken off the streets and I hope that justice prevails,” added the mother of one.
According to the victim, a case of kidnapping, assault, and trespassing has been opened at Chatsworth SAPS. The traumatised woman suffered several internal injuries and injuries to her body and ribs.
Sivan Subramodey from Amawele Emergency Services treated and transported the victim to a local hospital.
