Rashied Staggie shot dead

It was reported that he was shot while sitting in a friend's car outside his house.

Former Hard Livings gang leader Rashied Staggie has reportedly been shot dead.

TimesLive reported that Staggie was shot on Friday in Salt River, Cape Town.

The publication reported that two hours after the shooting, Staggie’s daughter, Ingrid Carolus, was seen outside his house screaming that he was dead.

It was reported that Staggie was shot while sitting in a friend’s car outside his house.

A police officer told the publication that two people were seen in CCTV footage approaching the vehicle and then spraying it with bullets.

The publication quoted a police source as saying that Staggie was rushed to the hospital by his son after the shooting.

The source also said that Staggie had been concerned about his safety, which would explain the cameras around his house, and that rival gangs had “been after his blood” for some time.

The source further said that considering that the driver of the vehicle was unscathed after the shooting, it was clear that Staggie was the target.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, Ballie Tips, the leader of the Hard Livings, was fatally shot in the head twice.
