A 23-year-old Brackenham man is believed to have shot and killed his girlfriend before turning the gun on himself on Sunday evening, Zululand Observer reports.
Richards Bay police are investigating a murder after an inquest docket was opened.

Police have confirmed that a young woman was shot at a residence in Brackeham after 7pm and it is alleged the gunman left the scene and went to the Nseleni bridge where he shot himself.
The motive is still unknown.
