Garage employee shot during Soweto CIT heist

The brazen thugs made away with an undisclosed amount of money.


Workers at the BP Garage situated along Chris Hani Road in Chiawelo, Soweto, witnessed a horrific incident when six armed men stormed the garage while a cash-in-transit vehicle was collecting money. It is alleged that shots were fired, reports Soweto Urban.

According to reports, no one was injured except for a garage employee. The wounded person was rushed to hospital for treatment. The thugs made away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police have cordoned off the scene. Soweto Urban are yet to hear from Captain Mpande Khoza for further details regarding the incident, and the condition of the garage employee.
