Creative commuter straps 5kg of dagga to body

The commuter's plans were thwarted after a police search was conducted.


A 24-year-old commuter’s plan to hide dagga on his body all the way from eSwatini, formerly Swaziland, to White River abruptly ended on Wednesday, Mpumalanga News reports.

He was caught red-handed with 5kg of dagga strapped to his back, hidden underneath his clothes, when the taxi he was travelling in was stopped and searched by police at Buffelspruit.

Dagga was strapped to an ambitious commuter’s back.

Two other suspects were arrested for public drinking during the same search.

The suspect was expected to appear in the Nkomazi Magistrates’ Court today.
