Pistorius tells of mother’s death
Oscar Pistorius got to his mother's bedside 10 minutes before she died when he was 15 years old, he told the High Court in Pretoria on Monday.

He said he and his brother Carl and sister Aimee did not know she was sick and had not been home for a while when they were told she was ill.
“I think we were there about 10 minutes before she passed,” he said, sitting down after initially standing for his testimony.
He faces a charge of murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp at his home in Pretoria on Valentine’s Day in Pretoria last year.
After his mother Sheila’s death, when the children were not staying in the school hostel, they would stay with friends of their mother’s sister, and some holidays with their father, who had divorced their mother.
Pistorius has pleaded not guilty to murdering Steenkamp and to two charges under the Firearms Act.
