Oscar Pistorius grilled by Gerrie Nel
Murder-accused Oscar Pistorius was ready to be "taken apart" over discrepancies between his bail statement and evidence after he shot his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp dead, he told the High Court in Pretoria on Wednesday.

“I would rather face all the evidence in front of the court now,” he said.
“I understand I will be taken apart… but that is the evidence. I can’t change it.”
He had just been taken to task over where he could have plugged in a second fan which he says he brought in after he was shown a photo of a extension cord with a short plug strip.
He thought maybe it had been plugged in behind the television cabinet of this bedroom and he may have tripped over it in his rush to get help for Steenkamp who was breathing her last.
Prosecutor Gerrie Nel pounced on another omission from his bail statement.
“Did you run from that area to the balcony?”
This was also not in his bail statement.
Pistorius has pleaded not guilty to the charge of murder.
