This was the testimony of police Warrant Officer Barend van Staden during Pistorius’s murder trial in the High Court in Pretoria on Monday.
He said he photographed the blood spots on the wall as part of the extensive collection of pictures of the scene following her death on February 14 2013.
Pistorius is charged with the murder of Steenkamp.
He has pleaded not guilty to murder and charges under the Firearms Act, which relate to allegedly discharging a firearm in a restaurant and shooting through the sunroof of a vehicle.
Pistorius has said he thought there was an intruder in the bathroom of his house when he fired through a toilet door, killing Steenkamp.
He said in his bail application he kicked at the door and broke it with a cricket bat to free her, then took her down the stairs of his home in Silver Wood estate, Pretoria.
As Van Staden confirmed where and at what time each picture was taken. He also confirmed a picture of a holster against a wall behind a bedside table to the left of the bed.
