Centurion woman dies after being set alight
The woman and a man allegedly had an argument, after which he allegedly set her alight.

A young Centurion woman has burnt to death after she was set on fire, Centurion Rekord reports.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on Monday morning in connection with her death.

Police spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe said the woman was killed in Itereleng informal settlement opposite Laudium on Sunday night.
“The community informed police about the incident where a woman was burnt and taken to hospital. Upon arrival, they found the body of a woman with burn wounds on her upper body,” she said.
“It alleged that the two had an argument on Sunday night which result[ed] in the violence,” she said.
Selepe said the man also suffered a burn wound.
“He’s currently in hospital under police guard. A murder is being investigated.”
Selepe said he was taken into custody during a police operation, that also saw people being arrested over selling liquor without a licence, possession of dagga, assault and traffic violations.
