Cell C launches free unlimited streaming on black

Cell C has announced a new promotion for its entertainment service, black, which will allow users access to free, unlimited streaming.

The promotion kicks off today (May 7th), and will run for the next three months, ending Friday August 10th. It’s open to all Cell C customers, whether they’re on prepaid or contract.

“We know the biggest hurdle to gaining access to streaming content is the data component, and so for the next three months, any existing or new black customer that is also on the Cell C network will not have to even consider having data to be able to download or stream their favourite shows,” said Cell C CEO Jose Dos Santos.

There’s no opt-in required; simply download the GETblack app or head over to Cell C’s black homepage, register an account, and you’re ready to get started.

Browsing through black’s catalogue on the site has also been zero-rated, so customers won’t lose data while making a selection. However, consumers who click through to black’s betting platform and ticketing service will be charged according to their plan. National data roaming is also not included in the promotion.

Cell C says there isn’t a fair usage policy in place, but that one will be implemented if any abuse is detected.

Customers who access black through other cellular networks will obviously be charged according to the rates of whatever plan they’re on.
