Scenes of a car engulfed in flames on the M1 highway near Rosebank have surfaced showing raging flames covering the silver vehicle.

Details to the cause of the incident are still unknown, although imagery shows medics at the scene, with parts of the road sectioned off.

Motorists are advised to expect delays on the M1.
