Bus strike ends after majority unions accept 9% wage deal

The spokesperson for the National Employer’s Association Meko Magida confirmed the deal to eNCA on Friday afternoon.

He said allowances will increase by 10% from April 1, and working days will remain at 14 hours.

The unions who reportedly signed the wage deal include the South African Transport and Allied Workers Union (Satawu), the Transport and Allied Workers Union of South Africa (TAWUSA), and the Transport and Allied Workers Union (Tawu).
