Man shot dead in alleged hit at Bryanston complex
According to an eyewitness, the man was of Serbian descent.

An alleged foreign national was shot and killed in what appears to be a hit in the Highbury residential complex in Bryanston on Tuesday.
According to News24, the man was approached by two suspects, who shot at him with assault rifles.
The man was declared dead at the scene.

Provincial police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo has confirmed to Sandton Chronicle that a 59-year-old man was shot and killed at a complex near Anslow Lane in Bryanston.
“Police have launched a manhunt for two armed suspects after a 59-year-old man was shot at about 11.30am,” said Masondo.
ER24 paramedics confirmed that the man was found lying in the parking area of the complex with sustained a gunshot wound to the head, just before 1pm.
It is alleged that the victim was entering the complex where he lives when he was approached by two armed suspects, who shot at him using rifles.
“The suspects fled the scene using a blue BMW. The getaway car was later discovered burnt about 5km away from the crime scene.”
He added that the motive for the murder is unknown at this stage, but they are appealing to the public to come forward with any information regarding this incident. Either contact your nearest police station or call the CrimeStop number on 086 000 10111.
Social media reports claim that this may be a hit, but this is yet to be confirmed by police.
Police confirmed that a case of murder had been opened and was being investigated.
