Bobby Motaung set to lose Bentley after failure to pay for a year – report
'Bob Steak' has reportedly been playing 'hide and seek' with Wesbank, who have now dragged him to court.
According to a report in Sunday World, the Kaizer Chiefs boss is half a million rand in arrears on a Bentley Continental GT that he purchased in 2014 for more than R4 million, including interest.
Wesbank reportedly took him to the High Court in Johannesburg and he will have to find R2.8 million in a hurry, as the bank is unlikely to be persuaded to let him keep the car on credit. Sunday World says he has been “labelled a bad payer”.
Motaung failed to respond to requests for comment from the tabloid, which reported that it had seen the court documents. Wesbank asked the court for an order to allow them to attach the car, which has a monthly instalment of nearly R50 000, which Motaung took over a six-year period with a deposit of R700 000.
The bank reportedly complained they were unable to get the Chiefs boss to surrender the car to them willingly and he was “playing hide and seek” with them.
