‘Blesser’ lures 15-year-old teen to her murder

John Lekubu, along with three accomplices Leshilo Mashau, Tebogo Mabolane and Eugene Machete, will appear in the Atteridgeville Magistrates’ Court to face kidnapping and murder charges.

Lekubu has been implicated in the murder of 15-year-old Keleabetse Seleka, who was reported missing in November last year after allegedly telling her friend she was going to meet a “blesser” in Atteridgeville.

In June last year, Lekubu allegedly posted on Facebook group Blesser Finder Worldwide that he was a single man of 33 looking for a “chubby” or “curved” woman who needed to be “blessed” and was willing to go to his house.

Keleabetse reportedly left her home in Centurion on November and never came back, reports Sowetan. Her family got worried when she did not come back. She went missing for days before her friend told the family that Keleabetswe told her she was going to meet a “blesser” in Atteridgeville.

A missing persons alert was posted by Pink Ladies, an organisation for missing persons.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) reportedly told the publication that Keleabetse’s body was found decomposed  in a pit toilet after Lekubu led them to the location.

The four were arrested in December last year after tracking Lekubu to his shack in Brazzaville, an informal settlement near Atteridgeville.

Atteridgeville police spokesperson Thomas Mufamadi has reportedly confirmed the case to the publication and said they were investigating murder and kidnapping charges and Lekubu was a suspect.
