The Black Lawyers Association has lashed out at critics of the commission of inquiry into state capture chaired by Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo.
BLA president Mashudu Kutama said this criticism was a repeated trend.
He said the “unfounded and malicious” criticisms served to undermine the work of the commission.
“The BLA call all law-abiding citizens to support the work of the commission as it seeks to investigate corruption both in the public and private sectors. We salute all men and women who have so far appeared before the commission to assist in its work.

“We call on all those who have information to contact the commission and give their respective version of events. History shall vindicate them. We remind the citizens of this country that we all agreed as a nation that no one is above the law,” said Kutama.
Kutama said the BLA advanced and protected the rule of law and that everyone should respect the law of the land, no matter their status or standing.
“The BLA supports Zondo for the service that he passionately renders for the people of South Africa and he must take comfort in knowing that he can count on us in his work.”
