Another 170 people die of Covid, with nearly 11,000 new infections
South Africa remains caught in the grip of an enduring third wave of infections.

On Sunday night, the department of health confirmed that a further 170 people had died of Covid-19, taking the official death toll to 79,421, although the unofficial figures based on unnatural deaths are far higher.
