Cyclist killed in hit-and-run as motorist ploughs into group
A white Tazz collided with a group of cyclists in Centurion on Friday morning, and subsequently fled the scene.

One cyclist was killed and two others seriously injured when a motorist collided into a group of ten cyclists along the R55 on Friday morning, reports Centurion Rekord.
Metro police spokesperson Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba said the other cyclists accompanied those who were injured to the hospital.

“The passenger of the white Toyota Tazz that collided into the cyclists was also injured and taken to hospital,” he added.
The driver of white Toyota Tazz fled the scene on foot, while the passenger sustained minor injuries.
Mahamba added they were not only urging the driver of the vehicle to come forward after leaving his vehicle at the scene of the accident, but also called upon witnesses to come forward.
“The docket opened for investigation will be determined when the police finish at the scene.”
